Overview

The RDB series of one stage light oil and kerosene burners, based on different ventilation structures, is now available with an innovative new BG combustion head, based on a soot-free Blue Flame technology. The European standard evolution is pushing for an environmental impact reduction, which is now realised by the new requirements and restrictions coming from the implementation of the ERP Ecodesign Directive for domestic oil-fired boilers. The Blue Flame technology of RDB BG BLU burners series, represent the best solution to comply with the ERP Directive obtaining NOx emissions sensibly lower than the current target. Development of the RDB BG BLU burner series is based on the combustion gases re-circulation, carried out in order to reduce the flame temperature, but mostly it is on the basis of Riello's long expertise and skills in combustion technology, resulting in a high performance combined with reliability and durability; indeed a key factor in Riello's BG Blue Flame technology has been the long and accurate testing phase, protracted in the most advanced Combustion Laboratory, in order to consolidate the performance results of the low NOx emissions in a soot-free, long-life product. RDB BG BLU series offers various combustion head combinations to match the most diffused boiler sizes of the domestic oil heating market. The models of this series are available in versions with combustion air suction from the installation environment (conventional flue "CF") or external air intake (balanced flue "BF"); both versions can be fitted with a fuel pre-heater. All models are characterised by their compact size and share the same components, especially designed by Riello for the RDB range.
